Deep in the Highlands, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery lies Fort William backpackers, a Mecca for those with the spirit of adventure!

Ben Nevis - Britain's highest mountain, sits just around the corner and below it, Glen Nevis - perhaps Scotland's prettiest glen with its wonderful waterfalls and ancient pine forest. Dramatic and eerie, Glencoe awaits a few miles down the road for an excellent day trip. You can start (or end) the 'West Highland Way' route in Fort William, hike or bike along mountain trails, go for a boat trip on the sea loch or just take it easy amidst the wonderful scenery!

Even in winter Fort William stays busy with guests eager to take in the skiing, snowboarding, mountaineering and ice-climbing.

In the evening put your feet up in our elegant lounge in front of the real fire, make friends around our leafy barbecue and terrace area or stroll down to the choice of local pubs. Fort William Backpackers is a few minutes walk from the bus and train stations and the famous MacBackpackers Jump-on Jump- bus leaves from right outside the front door when you’re ready to move on!
